CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate that Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) might be risking her position and her future for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Now, that’s not to say that she is about to do something unethical. Instead, she will get very personal with the fashion designer and to some extent, maybe too personal. In fact, she cares so much about Sally and her condition, that things might go beyond your typical doctor and patient relationship. Here’s what you need to know.
Actress Monica Ruiz, who plays Dr. Escobar on the hit NBC soap, reveals that there is so much more to come with this story. She offers this to CBS Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “The doctor is stressed because she cares about Sally and she really believes that Sally needs to be honest with her friends and family about what is happening. She really needs to let them in, but Sally doesn’t want to open up to anyone and her resistance to that is very frustrating.”

With that said, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Dr. Escobar will be able to get through to Sally, but it’s going to take some work first. Eventually though, Sally will come clean about the truth.

Monica further explained, “She cares so much about this patient of hers, beyond the normal, ‘Here are your results and that’s it.’ When I was reading the script I was like, ‘Wow, this is unusual. I want a doctor like this. I have a hard time just getting ahold of my doctor. She understands that Sally is in a difficult position personally, but she will do whatever she can to help Sally get through this difficult time.”
