Bruce Springsteen postponed his September shows due to a recent diagnosis of peptic ulcer disease. Bruce, not being one to cancel, is very distraught over disappointing his numerous fans.
Bruce’s decision to postpone is his following the doctor’s orders. Peptic ulcer disease is no fun, as it often causes nausea and stomach pain. The illness is easily treatable, and the prognosis is generally excellent.
Fans do not need to worry, but the boss needs his rest. Bruce will be back performing sold-out concerts again soon.
Bruce’s Heartfelt Message to His Fans
Bruce left his devoted fans a special message on his website and Instagram account.
The following is what Bruce said to his fans:
“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows—first, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows, and we’re looking forward to more great times.” We’ll be back soon. It was signed,” Love and God bless all, Bruce.”
The postponement of Bruce’s tour dates affects eight concerts across the US. The first concert to be put off was at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York, on September 7th.
Other canceled shows include Baltimore, Albany, Pittsburg, Washington, Connecticut, and Ohio.
Three concerts in March were postponed, and there were also a couple of dates in August for Philadelphia that they postponed due to illness. The shows were delayed until August 2024.
Bruce recently performed three nights in his hometown, New Jersey.
Bruce’s World Tour Has Been Going Well
Springsteen is on a world tour with his band, which started in February in Tampa, Florida. It has been going well, and he plays for his audience, sometimes dazzling his fans for up to three hours a night.
His latest album, “Only the Strong Survive,” is his twenty-first studio album. It came out in November 2022, containing covers of Rhythm and Blues and soul gems initially sung by The Commodores, Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Four Tops, and Aretha Franklin.
Bruce plays his heart out and always delivers a spectacular concert for his fans.
Ever since his debut as the opening act for a show in New York in 1972, he has been a talented live musical performer and artist who never fails to bring his A-game to live shows.
Springsteen charmed his fans when he invited former First Lady Michelle Obama to come up with him at a concert at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium in Spain in April. The song they performed together was “Glory Days.”
Obama sang back up and played the tambourine with Kate Capshaw (Steven Spielberg’s wife) and Burce Springsten’s wife, Patti Scialfa.
Springsteen and Obama have been chums since 2008, when he performed at his 2009 inaugural presidential address.
Springsteen suffered a fall onstage recently at a concert in Amsterdam. E Street Band members rushed to help him up. Bruce is so good-spirited that he quickly returned to his feet and joked about the mishap.
Fans eagerly await Bruce returning on the road and entertaining them once again. The “Boss” is expected to resume his tour in November 2023.
