Britney Spears reveals her passionate two-week-long affair with actor Colin Ferrell as she compares their sexual encounters to a street fight.
In Britney’s upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me,” she opens up about her short-lived romance with him. She met Colin through a club promoter before visiting him on the set of his 2003 movie, S.W.A.T.
The “Toxic” singer and “Minority Report” actor hit it off immediately. They were hot and heavy following her 2002 split with Justin Timberlake.
Reporters Asked Britney and Colin About Their Relationship
Britney describes her trysts with Colin Ferrell,
“Brawl is the only word for it; we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight.”
When Britney went to the premiere of Colin’s film, “The Recruit,” the paparazzi were extremely curious and intrigued by the pair’s public display of affection. Reporters were clamoring to get the scoop.
Ferrell responded to reporters’ questions about them being an item, “We’re not dating. She’s a sweet, sweet girl. Nothing is going on, just mates.”
Britney explains that she was very vulnerable when she met Colin because she was still in love with Justin Timberlake and felt broken and emotional.
Britney Spears Reveals Her Truth
Spears was in a very serious relationship with Justin for three years. He broke up with her in a text message with two words, “it’s over.”
This breakup came after the young couple decided to abort their baby at home. Timberlake reportedly did not want to become a father and may have pressured her not to have the child.
When she met Colin Ferrell, Britney thought it would be a light, fun friendship with less baggage. She admired Farrell from the moment they met.
Britney convinced herself that the fling was “not a big deal” and that the two of them were consenting adults having fun.
In a 2003 interview with “W Magazine,” Britney said that when she kissed Colin, she thought he was the “cutest, hottest thing in the world,” but the relationship was “nothing serious.”
Britney said she felt isolated and awkward about her failed romantic life. Spears may have thought for a moment that there may be something more to her relationship with Farrell than just the physical, but the two of them fizzled out.
Britney’s Release Date Was Detained
The truth is that the publishers held up the release of Britney’s memoir due to Justin and Colin’s hesitance about anything being said about them.
In late July, Justin Timberlake and Colin Ferrell’s lawyers threatened to sue the pop princess over some of the revelations in Britney’s memoir. They demanded the contents be removed from her book. Justin and Colin obviously have some things to hide.
The two men didn’t want their reputations ruined because of Spears’s candid passages in her truth. Too bad it’s too late for Justin’s reputation to be salvaged.
It took about four months for back-and-forth discussions to resolve the issues. Justin and Colin had concerns about the parts of the book that pertained to them.
So far, Britney’s book sounds like it will not fail to disappoint. There will undoubtedly be more shocking revelations and fascinating and juicy details of her life yet to come.
