Sam Asghari has spoken on how he was trying to get a part in the ‘Sex in the City’ spin-off entitled ‘And Just Like That.’
Sam Asghari Missed Out On Starring In The ‘Sex And The City’ Spin-Off-‘It Was A Dope Role’
It is no secret that Sam is trying to break into the acting industry, as shown by his previous comments. He has spoken of his desire to play a superhero at some point in the future, and has had a particular admiration for none other than Dwayne Johnson.
This has primarily been on the grounds that Dwayne has managed to combine fitness to the extent that it has allowed him to portray some iconic characters.
And as part of that journey, Sam decided to audition to play the physical therapist to none other than Carrie Bradshaw. But for all the enthusiasm that he was portraying, it was sadly in vain as he did not go on to get the part.
But that did not mean that he let this get him down. In fact, he had nothing but kind words to say about it all. In a statement, he said: “Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of ‘Sex and the City,’ ‘And Just Like That.
“Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role.” Sam would ultimately be pipped to the post by Australian actor Ryan Cooper.
Although he may not be the biggest name in the world, in comparison to Sam, his acting credentials are a whole lot better. He has starred in major projects such as ‘Rough Night.’ In this movie, he starred alongside Scarlett Johansson.
However, this might not have been such a bad thing for Sam. In light of the Chris Noth scandal, reports are circulating that the spin-off is being reconsidered as there are no concrete plans on whether it will go ahead for a second reason.
This could be because, until the allegations against Chris are put to bed, it would make no sense to make a decision on the future of the show, especially since Chris starred in the first season.
