Britney Spears has revealed how her faith in God was tested during the most difficult parts of her life.

Britney Spears Admits She ‘Stopped Believing In God’ During Her Conservatorship Struggles

It is no secret that Britney has been through a lot, as shown by her recent conservatorship that was ended by the courts in which her father Jamie Spears was previously in charge of her financial dealings for around 13 years.

And given that the singer had expressed how visibly unhappy she had been throughout that time, the very fact of the matter is that her faith in God was being challenged when she wanted to overcome these struggles.

In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “I had an experience years ago where I stopped believing in God!!!! From every angle I was being hurt for no reason and my family was hurting me.

“I went into a state of shock and the way I coped was being [in] fake denial.” The main reason why Britney struggled to cope with what she was going through was because she decided to bottle things inside.

And as she was not on the best of terms with her family, there was no outlet for her to be able to express her frustrations. This was partly due to the fact that Britney was unsatisfied with the way that her family was treating her.

And all these emotions began to take a toll on her health. She added: “They say go to the source for healing …. the person who hurt you … go to them and tell them … I’ve never gotten to do that.

“I chose the fake denial ‘everything’s totally fine approach’ because I didn’t want to cause conflict.” Nevertheless, she has managed to come out the other side and those experiences have taught her just how strong she can be.

In this way, Britney is better prepared to face the challenges that may come her way and deal with them in a manner that does not lead to a destructive environment.

Her following comments confirmed as much: “Last year was growth for me… I still have a ways to go!!!” It is great to see Britney being so open with her fans.
