British Royal News is saying that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending their first Christmas as a family of three with their son Archie Harrison in Canada. While the rest of the royal family will be opening presents and spreading yuletide cheer at Queen Elizabeth’s estate at Sandringham Castle, Harry and Meghan have decided to do things a little bit differently. Several weeks ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made it pretty clear that they wanted to get away from all of the hectic drama and stress that has been going on behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace. Not only have they taken a six-week break from their royal duties and public engagements, but they’ve also decided to stay under the radar as well. And while there have been several reports that suggested that Harry and Meghan were spending the holidays in Los Angeles, it looks like they’ve decided to go north instead. According to People Magazine, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made Canada their holiday stay.

In fact, even the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, seemed to confirm that the royal couple are in his home country as he tweeted out, “Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada. You’re among friends, and always welcome here.”

It’s been suggested that one of the reasons why Harry and Meghan wanted to leave London was because of the ongoing rift between the Duke of Sussex and his older brother, Prince William. Harry had even hinted that he and William haven’t being seeing eye-to-eye lately and that is one of the reasons why they have been acting so distant with one another in public.
While no one really knows what is going on behind palace doors, one thing is for certain: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are definitely surrounded by a lot of love and those who care about them the most in their lives, including Meghan’s close circle of friends who still live in Toronto. It’s also been noted that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland has traveled from Los Angeles to Canada to be with the couple and of course, her grandchild Archie Harrison.
