British Royal News finds that it looks like 2020 is certainly becoming the year of Megxit. After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s seismic public announcement that said they are quitting royal life, a lot of fans are looking to point the finger at someone to blame. And sure enough, royal fans are pointing it at the British press and the tabloids who have dragged the Sussexes for everything they’ve said or done these past two years. Some with merit, some without. Here’s what you need to know.
A lot of royal fans and critics took to their social media accounts to express their concern for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Others want to know what the couple plan on doing next, now that they will no longer be considered senior members of the royal family. A lot of comments included, “I can remember an interview where a tearful Harry said that everyone that he loves pays a price for loving him. He chose to protect his wife and child from a toxic environment caused by horrible media abuse. The same abuse he witnessed his mother experienced as a child,” along with, ‘The UK tabloids encourage hate and trolls on Twitter, they are unbelievably cruel. The tabloids and some of the very aggressive royal reporters have ruined many lives. It’s time for a change to this tragic press system.”

Yet, some had also added, “I am a proud Navy veteran, one thing that always drilled into us was properly using the chain of command. You keep your superiors in the loop on all information. It seems that they just threw this bombshell into the air believing that the Royal Family would give in.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any additional statements. However, reports indicate that Prince Harry is currently in four-way talks about his post-royal exit with Queen Elizabeth, his father Prince Charles and his brother, Prince William. It’s also been noted that Harry and Meghan are looking to split their time between the United Kingdom and North America.
