British Royal Family News find that Queen Elizabeth II is on a mission to fix her family following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview that aired on CBS.
British Royal Family News: The Queen ‘Has Been In Constant Crisis Meetings’
An insider told Us Weekly that the Queen will not be slowing down despite being the age of 94 and her husband Prince Philip being hospitalised: “She has barely had any time to herself since the interview and has been in constant crisis meetings.” It is one thing to have a talk over an issue, but it is another to actually address it. As part of the wider institution, the Queen was accused of not doing enough to deal with Meghan’s concerns.
And naturally, it would be hard to believe that she was unaware of them, given that Meghan had been having such conversations with members of the royal staff. The Queen, though, has been processing it all. The source added: “The Queen has always had a soft spot for Harry and looked out for him, so [she] is incredibly hurt and shocked that it has come to this.
“She’s trying to be understanding and see things from Harry’s perspective, but he allegations he and Meghan have made are hard for her to digest. The interview has wreaked havoc on the royal family.” It has been a difficult period for the Queen, nevertheless. She is having to balance her role as a monarch in trying to do what is best for the country, while recognising that her family may be about to implode.
There has been a split in the approach. Prince Charles reportedly wanted to respond publicly to the interview, whereas the Queen favoured a more private approach. There is a danger that failure to act may backfire. At the time the interview dropped, the Royals said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
