British royal family news has revealed the extent of the relationship between Freddy Mercury and Princess Diana. The People’s Princess was close to a variety of famous faces across the world, with Diana reportedly having been close friends with Elton John and Naomi Campbell. However, an insider has now revealed to the Express the relationship between Mercury and Diana.
According to the reports the unlikely friends would often sit and watch Golden Girls together on the television and cause ‘mischief’ after drinking champagne. It was revealed by Cleo Rocos in 2013 that the two celebrities would often sit in and watch the show while drinking. She made the revelation when speaking to Vanity Fair.

Rocos also admitted that they would get up to all kinds of mischief on their afternoons together, which usually included turning down the sound on the show and making up much ruder storylines for the characters. According to the story, Diana then asked what the others were up to on that evening, before she was encouraged to join them.
The decision didn’t go down well as some of her closest friends were worried that the Princess may be seen by the paparazzi. However, the former Queen front man had the final say and urged them to allow Diana to have some fun. In the end, they all went to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in south London. Those that were in attendance with her worried that she would be immediately recognised, but she managed to blend in by wearing sunglasses and a cap.

There was a worry that they feared that Diana would be recognised by the press. She had married Prince Charles in 1981, and become one of the most famous people on the planet. However, those fears weren’t aligned, as she was able to seamlessly fit in with the crowd and avoid the paparazzi outside.
