British royal family news has revealed that Prince Harry has sold one of his homemade shooting rife after growing pressure from Meghan Markle to do so. The gun that Harry sold was reportedly worth around £50,000 according to The Sun. The decision to sell the guns came after it was revealed that Meghan didn’t approve of Harry hunting, and urged him to stop.

Harry wasn’t short on buyers according to the report as it was revealed that a fellow hunter quickly snapped up the guns to add to his collection. The deal was reportedly done in private according to the publication, with Harry keen to leave the hunting behind him.

British Royal Family News: Harry’s Hunting Past

Both William and Harry have been deemed esteemed hunters during their life, with Harry reportedly killing a one-ton buffalo in the past. Both royals learned to shoot when they were children, but Princess Diana was also disapproving to the pastime. It was revealed a number of weeks ago that Harry would give up hunting for his wife, and this would indicate that his hunting days are now a sign of the past.

The prince that is now living in the United States was recently missing from the annual shootings that take place at Sandringham and Balmoral. Harry’s weapon collection has shortened over the past couple of months, as he sold two guns that were made in Britain before moving to the United States last month.

It would seem that the prince has now called time on his hunting career after guidance from Meghan. Harry is also the patron for various groups focused on animals including the Rhino Conservation Botswana. It was recently revealed by Dr Jane Goodall that she believes that he will now turn his back on bloodsports.

It is believed that the last time that Harry went hunting was in 2017 when he was engaged to Meghan, as he and his friends killed 15 wild boar while on a trip in Germany. The couple will now be focusing on their future, as today they will be celebrating Archie’s first birthday. The couple are spending their time in lockdown in the United States.
