British royal family news has revealed that Prince Charles has praised the work done by the people that work on the London tube services during lockdown. The sector has been hit hard by the pandemic, with extra measures being brought in to combat the threat of the infection.

Recent changes have revealed that facemasks should be worn on the tubes, but Prince Charles used a recent occasion to thank those that work in the sector. He was keen to thank the workers for their continued work throughout the pandemic, and admitted that he didn’t know how they could continue to work despite the threat of the virus.

British Royal Family News: Charles Meets Tube Workers

It was revealed by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, that the prince had requested a meeting with the workers that work on the tube. Charles was full of praise for the work that they had done throughout the last few months, with Khan admitting that the prince spoke to nearly everybody that there was to meet.

The Mayor revealed that he took hours out of his day to speak to everybody, and that included commissioners and cleaners. It has been a sector that has been directly in the line of fire with COVID-19, as there have been over 40 people that have lost their lives through the pandemic. Charles was keen to thank them for their sacrifice when talking to staff members, as the tube workers were effectively risking their life to ensure that life could go on as normal as possible.

British Royal Family News: Workers Pleased To See Charles

Charles seemed to look relaxed as he returned to public duties, and he was accompanied on the trip to Ashfield House by Khan. The training centre is near to the West Kensington station, and there were strict social distancing measures in place to ensure that the relevant safety measures were respected.

Regardless, the Mayor revealed that the effect of Charles visiting workers would be profound, and it will give everybody that works in the sector a boost, just when they needed it the most. Royal fans will be seeing a lot more of Charles in public over the coming weeks.
