British Royal Family News says that the relationship between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle isn’t as ‘icy’ as some believe that it is. In fact, a new report says that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are living their separate lives on different sides of the planet but they are in communication. What’s more, the supposed tension that was between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle during the Sussex’s last royal engagement in early March has waned. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in a new interview, royal expert Katie Nicholl says that even though the Sussexes are now building a new life for themselves in Los Angeles, they are communicating more frequently with Prince William and Kate Middleton than they did while they were still in London.

Nicholl told the site, “I think there is a sense of relief on both sides that this high drama is now a thing of the past. The Sussexes are free to get on with their new lives [and] the Cambridges can get back to their old lives without all the upset and drama that was clearly a big deal behind the scenes. I think Kate and William miss Harry and Meghan to a degree, but certainly they miss Harry [being] around and part of their lives.”
With that said, it doesn’t look like Prince William and Kate Middleton have any immediate plans to visit Harry and Meghan in Los Angeles, while Harry and Meghan apparently aren’t looking to travel back to London anytime soon. While they say that distance makes the heart grow fonder, it will be interesting to see if the Cambridges and Sussexes will ever do a joint royal engagement or public appearance together in the future. For now, fans will just have to cross their fingers and hope for the best that someday it will happen.
