Prince Harry and Meghan’s message said: “Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours – Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.

The message was posted with the caption of “Happy Thanksgiving” along with a maple leafs emoji. The royals are currently taking time away from their duties to have some much-needed family time, and they will be sharing their first thanksgiving with their baby- Archie.

Royal News: Where Are The Royals?

It isn’t clear where the royal couple are, and whether they are spending the time with the duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland. It is also unclear whether they are in the United Kingdom, or whether they have travelled to the United States to spend the holiday there.

The maple leaf emoji also led a lot to believe that they may actually be spending the holiday season in Canada, but the emoji is frequently used in Thanksgiving posts.

    Royal News: Royal Thanksgiving

It has been reported that the couple will be enjoying a big Thanksgiving with friends and family, and Meghan may even be cooking herself. The royal reporter for OK Magazine, Katie Nicholl said: “Meghan loves being in the kitchen. She’s a talented chef and takes great pleasure in bringing people together over a family meal.

“There won’t be any staff helping her – she’ll definitely be wearing the apron.”

Thanksgiving won’t be the only celebrations taking place outside of their royal duties, as it was also revealed that they would be celebrating Christmas with Meghan’s mother.

A royal statement said: “Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother.

“This decision is in line with the precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.”

The couple will also be taking no part in the royal gathering that will be taking place next week when the Queen will be welcoming NATO leaders to Buckingham Palace. Donald Trump will be in attendance for that event, which is to mark the 70th anniversary of the alliance. Harry and Meghan are currently on an extensive break for around six weeks after a turbulent year. Their royal tour last month was brought to an end with an explosive television interview where Meghan blasted members of the British press, while Harry needed to jump to the aide of his wife to bemoan that the press were bullying Meghan.
