Brian Austin Green Recalls Being Bedridden For Six Weeks With Ulcerative Colitis-‘Wasn’t Very Fun’
Ulcerative Colitis is a condition that is characterised by severe cases of inflammation to the digestive system. Therefore, it can result in cases of fatigue, diarrhea, rectal pain as well as massive weight loss. And that is precisely what happened as Brian was confined to his bed for a period of 6 weeks.
Had it not been for his lover Sharna Burgess, Brian would have become overwhelmed. In a statement, he said: “I had [ulcerative colitis] for about six, six and a half weeks, which wasn’t very fun, [but I was fine as] Sharna was amazing.”
Sharna’s intervention was crucial in more ways than one. First of all, she is currently pregnant and expecting their first child together. As such, she already had a lot on her plate. And yet, she managed to put that to one side and make sure that Brian was able to pull through.
Secondly, given that Brian also has children with his ex-wife Megan Fox, Sharna stepped in to make sure that the children were fine as part of Brian’s co-parenting relationship with Megan.
He added: “[She was] six, seven months pregnant, taking care of my three young kids because I was pretty bedridden for a while. Taking care of me, not complaining, being amazing.”
The response from the fans on social media was very positive. Not only were people delighted to see that Brian had made a full recovery, they were also glad that the actor had Sharna by his side.
One person wrote: “Glad to hear he’s feeling better. Nothing worse than being sick and in pain,” while another person stated: “Happy he’s feeling better.” Now that Brian has managed to overcome this, he can focus on returning the favour to Sharna by being there for her during her pregnancy.
