‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers for Wednesday, June 5 indicate that it looks like Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) may be closer than ever to achieving his ultimate goal of getting Hope to be with him. Or at least remotely in his vicinity while her marriage thrashes around in its final death throes. For their last night together as man and wife, Liam cooked a lovely Italian meal and then they reminisced on what their lives have been like and what they could have been like together.

Liam complimented Hope on her selflessness, but Hope said she was just making a sacrifice due to what was best for Liam’s children, and then she returned the ring. (Ouch.) There is no convincing Hope of any sort of comeback, she will be completely serious about ending things with Liam. And the funny thing is, the guy who officiated the marriage in the first place, Carter Walton, will be the one she asks for help in getting the divorce.

Carter will advise Hope against the annulment. He will tell her that perhaps she’s not in any condition to be making highly emotional decisions right now because she just lost a baby and hasn’t fully dealt with that grief yet. (You tell her, Carter! That’s the most sound advice I’ve heard so far.) He suggests that maybe Hope needs to talk to someone about her issues.

Now, whether Hope actually does that or not will remain to be seen but its certainly sound advice. Even the strongest of people would crack a little bit after being forced to deal with what Hope has been dealt in less than a year.
Of course, this will get some backlash from Thomas, who just wants the annullment over with ASAP so he can start making ways with Hope. He will go as far as to question Carter’s expertise in the area and just tell him to follow instructions and keep his mouth shut. Again, Thomas is not thinking about what Hope wants at all and he may find himself facing an increasingly uphill battle.
Hope may not want anyone for a long time after the end of her marriage to Liam, and for that, no one could blame her. She would be perfectly entitled to be alone for awhile after ending her marriage to get her bearings emotionally. Thomas is going to have to learn some patience if he really cares about Hope, but it doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon. Stay tuned!
