Singer Billie Eilish has been slammed on social media after she credited the Covid-19 vaccine for saving her life.
Billie Eilish Slammed After Claiming ‘If I Weren’t Vaccinated, I Would Have Like Died’
According to reports, Billie had tested positive for the virus in August of this year. Thereafter, she started to feel unwell which caused her to be out of action for a significant time.
While she has gotten over it to the extent that it does not interfere with her daily functions, the star admitted that she still does suffer from the effects to this day.
During an interview on the ‘Howard Stern’ show, she said: “I didn’t die, and I wasn’t gonna die, but that does not take away from how miserable it was.
“It was terrible. I still have side effects. I was sick for, like, two months almost.” Nevertheless, had it not been for the vaccine, Billie admitted that she would have been a whole lot worse.
She has managed to get back to her usual self, as shown by her recent debut on SNL live where she was praised for her performance. That is why she was grateful for taking the vaccine.
She added: “I think if I weren’t vaccinated, I would have, like, died, because it was bad … When I say it was bad, I more just mean that it felt horrible…When you’re sick, you feel f—ing horrible.”
And yet, Billie was bashed on social media by a significant proportion of people. Some felt that the star was, whether by accident or design, promoting the Covid-19 vaccine towards her followers.
In addition, others felt that the decision to take the vaccine was a personal choice and should have been kept private, especially since Billie is not a medically qualified person.
After all, there are an equal number of people who have recovered after not having taken the vaccine. One person on Twitter wrote: “Now we know she’s part of the Deep State.”
While another person stated: “I didn’t need the vaccine when I had it and I was fine as well.” It is safe to say that Billie should avoid being so open in future.
