Billie Eilish opened up on how her life completely changed when her music career began to take off.

Billie Eilish Admits ‘Tons Of People Hate’ Her Following Her Success

The musician’s big break came in 2016, as she managed to secure a record deal with Interscope Records. And ever since that moment, the scrutiny has been on her to continue those high standards which she had set herself.

But in reality, that has been much harder than she initially thought. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Billie said: “I feel a lot of pressure, but I would also say that back then [in the earlier years of her career].

“I was more loved. I was pretty overall loved, I would say, to be honest. I was scared because I wanted to keep that love.”

A primary example of this backlash was when Billie was accused of being a racist. This happened when Billie happened to be caught miming a song in which it was alleged that she had used a racist comment.

Although she did apologise for the offence that she may have caused, things have gotten to a point where Billie has decided to roll with the punches and accept the criticism, come what may.

She added: “Now, like tons of people hate me, so I’m not worried anymore. I’m like, ‘Oh, OK, well, if you like me, you like me, if you don’t, you don’t.'”

The response on social media was overwhelmingly in favour of Billie. A significant proportion of people sided with the musician and recognised that she had managed to overcome many obstacles in her star-studded career.

And as her music has transcended across many different groups, people were on hand to show their appreciation towards her.

One person on Twitter wrote: “Congratulations, beautiful Queen, for all your great Progress, you are my favourite artist. I really like you and how you sing and everything you express to us in your incredible songs.

“Thank God for one more year of life. I wish you much.” This story has shown that Billie has developed a lot as an artist, and by the looks of it, there is plenty more still to come.
