The episode for Wednesday, May 21 looks like we’re going to get some fun character development.
Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) is going to take a huge step as a character when she rips into Dana Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant).

She’s been growing by leaps and bounds for the last couple of months, and this will be huge if she turns on Dana like we expect.
It’ll also break Dana and she’ll spiral as she unintentionally shreds her own plans.
We’re going to get some couple drama as Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) and Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) deal with their relationship. Or what’s left.
Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) may play a role in it beyond calming Ashley and giving her a sounding board.
However it’s done, it’s up to the two of them to work things out and figure it out. We have a feel Derek may be planning something, so we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers are looking forward to this scene as Eva will finally get her chance to rip into Dana.
Up until now, she’s struggled with the mother she loves and the one she knows. But after hearing Dana throwing her under the bus, Eva could finally have enough.
we expect Dana will argue she’s defended her, and she has. After she put the idea out there for everyone to get them investigated.
We think Dana expects them to be cleared and that will be best. But also to destroy any bonding Eva’s been doing so she has no choice but to come back to the mother who cast her out.
Mother of the year right there, isn’t she?
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Wednesday, May 21: Finding common ground
Ashley and Derek are at a crossroads, and both have gotten solid advice.
While we don’t think anything will happen between Ashley and Andre, his support means the world to her.
The big question for us is what does Derek plan? We didn’t get any indication that he heard Andre in the apartment, so he may have had an idea and left.
Chances are, he thought about what Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) told him. After thinking on it, he’ll return with some flowers and maybe a date idea.
