‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers here and we’re ready to the stretch run into this week’s climax and we have some fun spoilery goodies to share.
Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) misses his family and we don’t blame him. But since Smitty Smith (Mike Manning) seems to be civil and that’s it, Martin will ask for help.
He’ll ask his mom and we’re sure Nicole Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) will happily jump in. But her help may not be what he expects.
She could preach patience and understanding, but Martin is probably at his limit.
Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) is on the cusp of her comeback with the Articulettes, and she’ll have concerns.
We expect her anxiety will be through the roof after all the years since they last performed. They’ve put in the work and are as ready as they’ll ever be, but her nerves will be all over the place.
It makes sense, and we’d be more worried if she wasn’t nervous. Thankfully, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) will be there to comfort and support her.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Wednesday, July 30: Martin wants his family back
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers have been waiting for Martin to make his move to try to get his family back. Now that he’s had some time, he’s getting antsy and wants to get his old life back.
So, he’ll ask Nicole for help, but we think she’ll remind him there’s not a whole lot she can do. They have to wait for Smitty.
Martin won’t like that, and he’ll struggle to deal with not having his husband and kids.
It’s a tough spot to be in, but it’s also his doing for keeping those secrets from them. Nicole will understand and offer to talk to Smitty, but we doubt it’ll help much.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Wednesday, July 30: Vernon’s the man
Vernon always knows what to say to help others relax and feel comfortable. He’s the perfect balance for Anita as she’s a firecracker. They balance each other perfectly.
So while her anxiety if ramping up with the reunion concert quickly approaching, he’ll be there to soothe her.
He’ll do what Vernon always does, and that will be reminding her how great she is and how when she’s on stage with her sisters the rest of the world will disappear.
