‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers love how the show is getting so much attention and push by the CBS network.

It’s first episode premiered on Monday, February 24 and it was a breath of fresh air in many ways.

It had a big opening scene and used energetic editing that took us back to the 1980s and 1990s type of shows.

It combined the feel of primetime and daytime soaps, and it’s going to send ripples through daytime television.

Due to it being on at 2 PM as the final installment of CBS’ soap run puts it across from ‘General Hospital’.

There’s a good chance it’ll help the powers that be behind ‘General Hospital’ to get the show straightened out and it could be the hope of future soap operas.

‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Competition is good

‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers are excited to see a show with such a huge budget starting off with a bang and it can mean lots of good things for soaps in general.

But mainly, ‘General Hospital’ as it give the oldest current soap direct competition it hasn’t had since 2012.

Fans are excited and some will DVR one while watching the other, but there’s a chance ‘General Hospital’ could see their viewership numbers fall.

In general, soaps are generational shows, but ‘General Hospital’ has been a mess for over a year storytelling wise.

They’ve been going for shock value over story substance, push toxic relationships as the new benchmark, and have received lots of fan backlash on social media.

With ‘Beyond the Gates’ starting big, it could push the show to improve its storytelling to keep up with the new show on the block.

After one episode, ‘Beyond the Gates’ looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, and that could mean good things in general.

‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Rekindle interest in soaps

Since we lost so many soap operas years ago, the industry has survived with four shows. The launching of a new one could mean renewed interest in the genre.

Of course, this depends on how popular ‘Beyond the Gates’ becomes.

Its parent company Paramount has reportedly had serious money problems and this could be the company’s hail mary.

If it works out and becomes popular, there’s a chance the call to bring back older shows that were cancelled will grow.

Fans have been asking for their favorites to return, and if successful ‘Beyond the Gates’ could be what the genre needs.

It’ll mean less talk or reality shows, but that’s a trade we’re good with.

Will ‘Beyond the Gates’ help renew the genre? Let us know in the comments below.
