2020. The year where just about anything will trend on Twitter. Today’s gem comes from actor, writer, director, and Batman actor Ben Affleck. Apparently, someone snapped some photos outside his house after ordering Dunkin Donuts to his home.
Yes, this is trending. Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of dark comments, like people wondering if he’s drinking again? I’m not sure what photo they see, but I see a slim, healthy Affleck who looks like he’s been taking care of himself during quarantine (yes, he has the money to help with that), but I really don’t understand why this is trending. Even the New York Post picked it up in a tweet,

Thankfully, there seem to be more positive comments coming in his defense, “I hate that this guy is getting his picture taken while he’s just trying to enjoy some dunkin. On the other hand, this picture is all of us.”, “I relate to this picture so much. Except there’d be TWO boxes of Dunkin Munchkins- one for me, and one for my kids.”, “It’s so weird that people just wait outside his house to take pictures as soon as he comes out leave the guy alone” and “Imagine someone sitting outside your house taking pictures of you every time you collect a delivery from your doorstep and posting them on the Internet.”
It’s an odd day, and surely this will be a meme going forward into 2020.
