Eddie Lucas from Bravo’s Below Deck has been working hard as a bosun on many charters since he began his time on the show. In the most recent season of the show, we saw him become the first mate, but now it looks as if all of his hard work has finally paid off. He recently shared with his fans and followers that he is a captain now!
Below Deck Spoilers: Eddie’s Great News
This past week, on his Instagram account, Eddie shared, “I’m the captain now. After 10 years of hard work, I’m proud to announce I am now captain of a harbor tug in Baltimore Harbor. I am working with a great drew, on a great tug, and I’m excited for 30 more years of harder work. Big thank you to my family, both on and off the way. I wouldn’t be here today without you.”
Below Deck Spoilers: Eddie Lucas Has Some EXCITING News to Share with His Fans
As soon as his fans saw this post, they were quick to point out just how proud of him they were.
One of the first people that sent her congrats was Captain Lee Rosbach. He sent his congrats on social media and we all know how close Eddie was to Captain Lee on the last charter. The cast of the last season of the show all commented, “So very proud of you Eddie, and all the hard work you’ve put in to get that fourth stripe. Well done Captain Lucas, well done sir. I proudly salute you.” Eddie commented back to Captain Lee and told him that he couldn’t have done any of this without him.
In the season finale of the eighth season, we saw Captain Lee giving Eddie his three stripes signifying that he was now his first officer. He told the cameras, “It meant a lot to me. It kind of choked me up a little bit.” At that moment, Captain Lee also said, “Trust me when I tell you, Eddie earned his stripes and then some.”
Eddie has been caught up in some situations including sleeping around with some of the crew on previous charters. He has been involved in some serious drama too. It seems that he knew that he needed to change his lifestyle in order to do well on the boat.
Eddie is very happy that he has been given this promotion and he is ready to start this new phase of his life. He knows that he will be working much harder and is ready to take this on.
