There has been a lot of backlash over the racist comments that were seen on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days cast member, Alina Kasha. A picture was posted of her dressed up and the caption had her using the N-word. The post was made several years ago and Alina said that she didn’t even know what the word meant because she doesn’t speak English, but it seems as if she has changed her story quite a few times. Now, her friend, Maria is ready to spill some tea on what Alina meant by the post.
‘Before The 90 Days’: Maria In Defense
Maria has been seen with Alina on the show and she is one of her best friends. Now she is trying to defend Alina since the post went viral and fans of the show now want Alina off of it. Viewers were quick to find this post and Alina did use the N-word a few times in it. She first claimed that it was photo-shopped and then she went silent about it for a few days. Then she issued an apologize that fans are just not happy with.
‘Before The 90 Days’: Alina Kasha’s Friend And Racist Comments
Viewers also found other posts of Alina‘s that featured insensitive comments about Asian people. Elijah has tried to defend her and Caleb Greenwood has as well. Now it is all up to Maria to show Alina’s true self. Maria posted a statement about her best friend. She told fans, “I would say that she is maybe only one of my friends who is completely free from racial, religious, physical, material, and gender stereotypes! Really, she is having lots of gay friends, lots of friends from other countries, and she is really an open-minded person. When someone from Russia says the N-word, it has no reference to the days of slavery.”
Maria told fans that she was completely sure that Alina was not a racist and wouldn’t do anything to harm other people. Fans still don’t quite believe that she feels bad for the posts. She is getting a lot more backlash ever since fans found the posts and they are finding her to be quite a hypocrite.
Will Alina remain on the show for the words and actions from her Instagram account? Will her fans still support her or is this it for her? We will have to just wait and see what happens on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The show airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
