Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper have opened up on how their love story angered the producers of the show.

The duo, who came across each other on the Bachelor franchise, went on to get married in 2017. Their relationship continued to go on strong as they welcomed three kids: Emerson, Brooks and Reed. While it was clear that the pair had chemistry from the moment they met, the manner in which they communicated it to each other angered the producers.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Tanner opened up on the moment he told Jade she was the one. He said: “I didn’t want to say that [in front of the cameras]. They were mad at me. They wanted to catch that moment, but I made sure to sneak away and do it in private.” The Bachelor franchise has been accused of being scripted in the past, and with that in mind, the couple wanted to do things on their own terms?
So how did Tanner break the news? Well, by the sounds of it, he could not have done it in a better way. Jade stated: “[Tanner] pulled me away anyways, and it was by the ocean, I think, kind of by this little daybed and got me down and whispered it in my ear.” Once they decided they could no longer control their feelings for each other, the duo carried on breaking the show’s rules.
The producers had put in measures to stop any potential couples from disclosing their relationships during the time the show was on air. Nevertheless, the pair did what they thought to be best. Tanner revealed: “She basically started living with me almost. Jade was pretty much stuck in my house for six weeks. It was like I had a prisoner.”
But with the show now firmly behind them, they can live their life according to their own choosing. They have not decided fully on whether they want to continue expanding their family, but irrespective of what they do, the couple have shown they are firmly in control of their relationship.
