Jade Roper has given her take on how Bachelor in Paradise has changed during her stint on the show.

During an interview with Us Weekly, Jade stated how the show has allowed its contestants to fully get to know each other. She said: “We were discouraged to meet each other or talk to each other before we went on the show because they wanted the onscreen time to be the first time anybody met, and they could see that. But nowadays, everyone hangs out with each other.”
This would take away spontaneously as a prior meeting to filming is likely to make things more scripted. As such, it may explain why a whole host of relationships fail to survive the test of time once the show has been concluded. For Jade, she did not have that problem, though. Her experience on the show was a resounding success as she met her future husband, Tanner Tolbert.
It was Tanner’s commitment to the cause, which could have ended in him losing his job, that won Jade over. She added: “He actually was supposed to go back to work. And he had to make a call and be like, ‘I’m going to stay, sorry, like, fire me if you have to fire me…I kind of knew at that point, like, ‘OK, well, he’s really committed.’ So, I’m going to just, you know, give him the respect and do the same.”
The two would go on to get married in 2016, and things have continued to go on strong since that time. But when she knew Tanner was the one, she had to prepare to tell him. And this is where some of her troubles started. She recalled how she had some problems in choosing what to wear for such a momentous occasion.
She continued: “I had, like, [a] pretty good hunch that I was getting engaged. I didn’t have a dress, and I was freaking out. The stylist for the show, the guy who styled Chris Harrison, Cary [Fetman], I think a lot of people know who Cary is, helped me get a dress.”
