On Wednesday, 1st March 2023, Travis Scott reportedly got into a disagreement with the disc jockey.

It is alleged that this happened before he assaulted a sound technician and destroyed property worth $12,000. In the video here at Nebula, Travis is seen getting angry at a DJ who is trying to control the loudness of the sound. It appears that Scott had made it too loud, which is why the sound was not coherent.
That apparently caused Travis to feel outraged, as he shoved the DJ out of the way by stating: “Back the f–k up.” That is when things started to get out of hand. A source confirmed the following: “[He was] yelling aggressively in his face on why he lowered the sound.
“Then he smacks the soundman right across the face. It caused a big commotion between Travis’ security and club security. After that, Travis took the phone from one fan” — who was recording…[and] threw the phone on the floor.”
According to an eye-witness, the rapper was so angry he punched one of the speakers so hard that he dented it. Additionally, he also destroyed the video screen behind the disc jockey booth. The following comments confirmed as much: “He was banging on the projector screen really aggressively and broke it in half.”
This is not the first time that Scott has been involved in controversy at music events. At the Astroworld concert in 2021, he was accused of being negligent in not ensuring that safety protocols were in place as numerous people died and were injured due to a stampede. While that may have been the case, he denied suggestions that he was responsible.
With that being said, the social media response was damning. Large numbers of people demanded that Scott be held accountable for his actions. One person wrote: “Lock him up, Lock him up. He’s surely guilty of a lot more than this privileged tantrum.”
