Joseph Baena, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, has shared the devastating news of the passing of his young nephew, Vicente. The 27-year-old actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to express his grief and reflect on the profound loss his family is experiencing.
Baena revealed that the past week has been incredibly difficult and confusing for his family. “It’s been a week since my nephew, Vicente, left us and it’s been the most difficult and confusing week of my family’s life,” he wrote in a heartfelt caption.

In his tribute, Baena emphasized the kind, funny, caring, and smart nature of his nephew. “All I can think about is what a kind, funny, caring and smart kid he is and how much we all love him. We miss him so much and still can’t believe this is all real,” he shared, conveying the disbelief and pain his family is feeling.
Baena’s post included a collection of photos and videos featuring Vicente, capturing cherished memories. These included images from Vicente’s graduation ceremony, a joyful snapshot of Baena carrying Vicente on his shoulders, and a family photo taken during Baena’s time on “Dancing With The Stars” in 2022. The family photo also showed Baena’s mother, Mildred Patricia Baena.
While mourning, Baena also offered a message of support to those who may be struggling, urging them to be kind to themselves, seek help, and remember their value and the love that surrounds them. “We miss you Vicente. Rest in peace,” he concluded.
The news has prompted an outpouring of condolences in the comments section of Baena’s post. “DWTS” pro Sasha Farber and actress Selma Blair were among those who offered their support and sympathy to Baena and his family.
The identity of Vicente’s parents has not been publicly revealed. Joseph Baena has a half-sister, Jackie Rozo, on his mother’s side.
On his father’s side, Baena has four half-siblings: Katherine, Patrick, Christina, and Christopher, children of Arnold Schwarzenegger and his ex-wife, Maria Shriver.
