Angelina Jolie is hopeful that her children will be able to testify in her custody battle against her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

The duo have been engaged in a long custody battle that first began since they broke up in 2016. During their time together, they raised many children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

But their relationship turned sour and Angelina had confirmed that she was a victim of domestic abuse at the hands of Brad. While the latter denied doing anything in that regard, Angelina claimed that her children could back up such claims.

And yet, there is going to be a conflict of interest over whether the children will be able to testify. Whether such things had happened is irrespective of the fact that they would be choosing between their father or mother.

Angelina, though, wants to put this all to bed. A source told Us Weekly: “Angelina feels it’s extremely important that the kids’ feelings about who they want to essentially spend time with are heard. She is hopeful that going forward, with an impartial and fair judge, the children will be able to testify.” Should a new judge be appointed, then the chances of Angelina getting her wishes would increase.

The current standoff has prevented their kids from traveling with their mother and engaging in philanthropic work, which is something that they are wishing to do. And the sooner that this gets resolved, then the better it is for everyone.

The source added: “A judge must allow a child that is 14 years old to directly address the court…The kids want to be able to travel with their mom for her humanitarian work. Shiloh in particular has voiced sadness about being limited in doing so because of the divorce.”

Let us hope that a resolution can be reached as soon as possible before things get even more hostile. That is the only way for all the sides involved to move on with their lives and leave the children with both parents being there for them. Time will tell how this will all play out.
