Angelina Jolie Opens Up On Her Troubles In Light Of Her Divorce From Brad Pitt
In an exclusive interview with British Vogue, she said: “The past few years have been pretty hard. I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body. I’m not there yet, but I hope to be. I’m planning on it.”And it is her confidence that has helped her through the challenges of motherhood.
She added: “I do like being older. I feel much more comfortable in my forties than I did when I was younger. Maybe because my mom didn’t live very long, so there’s something about age that feels like a victory instead of a sadness for me. I feel that I’m gonna hit my stride in my fifties.” With Angelina becoming increasingly confident in her parental role, the actress has benefited positively.
A source said: “[Jolie] really likes the life lessons and new ideas that come from trying all different things. The sky’s the limit for her.” By the sounds of it, the wider family is happy too. Angelina’s father, Jon Voight, has spoken on how well his daughter is doing. He told Us Weekly: “She’s a very invested mom. She’s on it. She’s on it with these kids. She gives them love every second of their day. She’s very smart too. Smart girl. Brave. She’s got all these great qualities.”
And Jon was happy for the next generation regardless of whether they follow their parents: He revealed: “Well, their parents are … they come from … it’s in their blood. You’re raised, wherever your parents are and what they’re doing, you ingest all of the stuff they do. Their talent is teaching you, and it’s part of you too. It’s in your genes. Each one of the kids has got a lot of that.
“They’re familiar with it all. Which way they will go with all of that? That’s their environment growing up. Will they be actors? I don’t know. They’re certainly entertaining me!” Through it all, he loves his grand-kids. If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
