‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that as the father of the Newman family and a member of soap opera royalty, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) has made a lasting impression on viewers.
Since Braeden confirmed his cancer diagnosis back in April 2023, fans have understandably been worried about his health as he is well-known and loved by many.
Later, Braeden broke some excellent news. A good update came in August 2023 when Braeden said that, after undergoing many treatments, he was cancer-free. In February, Eric Braeden was asked how he was feeling at the time of an on-set interview with ET.

Braeden said, “My cancer diagnosis right now is on hold, as it were, and [I’m] very grateful for very good doctors and very good modern cancer treatment which has improved enormously.
So people shouldn’t be afraid of it, you know. It’s just go and have your cystoscopy, have your colonoscopy, have your heart checked out. Do all that. Do it in time.”
In an effort to increase awareness, Eric Braeden has been open about his own experience and has urged followers to bravely take charge of their own well-being. We hope to have Braeden around for a very long time, so it’s great to hear that he’s doing so well.
Braeden appears to like the role he has played since 1980 and is not showing any signs of slowing down. Braeden expressed his gratitude for the recent four-season renewal of the program, noting that it indicates that viewers are continuing to tune in.
