Spotlight On Princess Catherine’s Parents, Carole and Michael Middleton-How They Are Providing Invaluable Support To Kate And Prince William

These days, Prince William is likelier to hang out with his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton.  He is not with his chums like Guy Pelly or the Van Cutsem brothers. This speaks volumes about her support for William and Kate.

Carole Takes an Active Role in Her Grandchildren’s Lives

The Prince and Princess of Wales are very thankful to have Carole and Michael Middleton with them at their place on the Sandringham estate while Kate is undergoing treatment for cancer.

They have been an invaluable source of strength for William and Kate as they watch the children, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, as William performs his royal duties.

Carole takes an active role in her grandchildren’s lives. She loves to run around and play outside with them at the playground, teaches the children how to cook, dances with them to their favorite music, and loves to go on bike rides with them.

Kate maintains a very close relationship with her parents, and Kate’s mother, Carole, has become the “driving force” who relishes looking after the family.

Carole and Michael have been present for many marked royal occasions, like Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018 and Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. Carole had a particularly close bond with the Queen.

Royal expert Richard Eden said,

“Catherine’s parents are just as important to the monarchy’s future as the Windsor’s themselves.”

A source close to the royal family explains.

“Carole has been the driving force keeping the family together with minimum fuss and maximum modesty. She’s ferried and fetched George, Louis, and Charlotte, taken them to school sports matches, and given them endless support. She’s a real Mary Poppins-like figure.”

Kate’s parents have been the anchor that keeps the family together.  Giving William and Kate time to come to terms with her illness. Princess Kate’s family and humble roots keep her grounded during this difficult time.

Kate’s Parents Have Been Giving Their Time, Love And Care

Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe explains that Carole and Michael have provided a “safety blanket” for Kate. They are “desperately upset” over Kate’s diagnosis and have been doing whatever they can to give her and William support.

Kate announced on March 22nd that she had an undisclosed form of cancer. After months of speculation and the media hounding her, Kate bravely took to a park bench and shared her diagnosis with the world.

She had planned abdominal surgery in January. The doctors discovered through testing that she had the disease. She is currently undergoing treatment.

The Princess’s diagnosis shocked everyone. Kate has been relying on her husband, parents, brother and sister, children, and King Charles, all of whom have been there for her.

The first time we saw Kate out and about after her abdominal surgery, she was with Carole. They went to pick up her children from school.

William’s ability to continue his royal duties demonstrates the time, love, and care Carole and Michael give them.

The Middletons are a valuable support system for William, Kate, and the children. Whether you are a royal or a commoner, family is the most important thing you have, especially during difficult times.
