‘General Hospital’(GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have been getting closer lately.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Understands Sonny in a Way Nina Doesn’t
The mafia boss and the gallery art owner share a daughter, a draw to danger, a moody edge, and explosive chemistry.
Recently, The soon-to-be ex-Mrs. Corinthos, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) asked Ava to intervene on her behalf to help her try to put her marriage, which is damaged beyond repair, back together.
However, Ava didn’t want to get involved at first. She understands Sonny in a way that Nina doesn’t. Ava knows that when Sonny feels betrayed, he scorches the earth on whoever wronged him.
Sonny will not be so receptive to Nina’s futile attempts at reconciliation. He considers what Nina did, turning Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the SEC, as a crime against his family.
He knows that Nina acted out of jealousy, as she knew she would always come second to “the real Mrs. Corinthos.” Not to mention, Nina was being iced out of her daughter Willow Corinthos’s (Katelyn MacMullen) wedding.
Ava empathizes with Nina as her friend, but she also knows that Nina committed a mortal sin as far as Sonny is concerned. No one threatens one of Sonny’s baby mamas and gets away with it.
So, when Nina asked her bestie for help, and Ava refused, Nina couldn’t understand why. But we did. Plus, there’s some fire between Sonny and Ava.
Ava recently gave in to Nina’s request and agreed to help her. But we all know why. She thinks that helping Nina will distract her from the feelings she is starting to develop for Sonny.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Trusts Ava with His Business
The martini-drinking vixen was poised to share a lip-lock with Sonny in the hospital chapel, but they stopped themselves before things escalated.
That’s when Nina showed up and expressed her disappointment at being left out of Sonny’s life. Ava feels guilty for her desire for Sonny and believes she can ignore her growing passion by helping Nina.
Sonny will likely never trust Nina again, and ironically, her friend Ava is now his most trusted confidant. Sonny and Ava used to despise each other, but that’s changing.
Ava and their daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) have been living with Sonny in his penthouse after he kicked Nina to the curb.
Sonny doesn’t have many people he can trust at this point, but he feels he can depend emotionally on Ava. He’s been sharing secrets with her, especially regarding his business.
Ava proved loyal to him when she showed up at the warehouse to represent the Jerome crime family. The only other woman Sonny let into his business was Carly.
The next time Sonny and Ava get close, they will give in to temptation. And guess who’s going to see them share a forbidden kiss?
When Nina finds them together, she will explode. Ava, watch out because when Nina feels betrayed, she doesn’t get mad; she gets even.
It’s only a matter of time before Sonny and Ava give into their flourishing attraction and ignite the burning flame between them.
