Netflix’s Love Is Blind is back for a fifth season and as viewers have watched on, they have noticed something different about the new season. The love connections seem to be on par for what we have seen on the show before, but now it looks as if there has been a major twist.

They never meet face to face until they fall in love and get engaged. There have been a few couples who have married and are still married, but there are others who have divorced just after months of being married.

During this season of Love Is Blind, Uche and Aaliyah met in the pods are really started to make a big connection. The love that they were feeling for one another was like no other. No matter what the couple talked about in the pods, she felt that he was truly devoted to her.
Then she dropped the bombshell on him that she had been unfaithful in one of her relationships. Of course, she thinks that he is judging her for being so honest with him.
The reaction that she got from him truly made her feel as if he was going to call it quits. This didn’t get to Uche though. He ended up forgiving her and told her that they could move forward.
It seemed as if these two were closer than ever to becoming engaged and that is when viewers saw a shocking surprise. During the fourth episode of the show, Uche dropped a big bombshell on Aaliyah that no one saw coming.
He told her that Lydia, who was also a single on the show, is his ex-girlfriend from just three months ago. When they discovered that they knew one another, Lydia told him that she felt that they needed to date in the pods too. He told her that wasn’t what he was there to do.
Uche Okoroha and Lydia decided that they wanted to keep this secret from Aaliyah Cosby. She ended up confronting Lydia about the situation. Lydia apologized and it seemed as if things were better between everyone. This wasn’t the case though.
It turns out that Uche is ready to propose to Aaliyah and when he brings the engagement ring to the pods, he is very confused when the producers tell him that she is gone. She wanted to share with fans of the show how she was feeling and what happened.
She told fans, “I was very shocked in the moment. I think most people would agree it was a pretty shocking revelation. I felt like it was the best decision for me. Considering all the factors and hearing both what Lydia and Uche had to say about everything, I just knew, moving forward, that wasn’t ideally the type of situation I’d want going into an engagement.”
