Celebrities Speak Up: Taylor Swift’s Fearless Guard Flies Home To Israel To Battle Terrorists, And Pete Davidson Is Praised For His SNL Monologue Regarding The War

Celebrities speak up, and those close to celebrities have been responding to the war in Israel. Support for the Israelis and the terror of the targeted people is palpable.

The conflict between the Israelis and Hamas has been ongoing for many years, but it has recently exploded into an all-out war. Hamas has killed many civilians and has taken many hostages, killing men, women, and children alike.

The fighting goes back generations and is nothing new. However, that all changed nine days ago when there were a series of attacks launched against over 1,000 Israelis.

At the beginning of October, what was meant to be a fun music festival for Israelis turned into bloodshed. It is the worst Middle Eastern crisis in years.

Taylor Swift’s Bodyguard Goes Back to Israel

Taylor Swift’s courageous unnamed bodyguard flew home to Israel to fight terrorists. He was reportedly a member of the Israel Defense Forces before coming to America.

The bodyguard, who can be seen in a social media video protecting Swift at her recent Eras tour concert, received high praise for scanning the crowd for perceived threats within the span of a lightning-quick six seconds and escorting Taylor after a performance in Kansas City, Missouri.

The guard said he couldn’t stand by and do nothing while innocent Israelis were slaughtered and burned alive in their homes. He astutely pointed out,

“It would be an insult to animals worldwide to call these terrorists animals.”

Model and television personality Gigi Hadid took to social media to say,

“My thoughts are with those affected by the unjustifiable tragedy, and every day innocent lives are taken by this conflict, too many of which are children.” She said, “While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person.”

Pete Davidson’s Moving Monologue

Comedian and SNL alum Pete Davidson’s opening monologue on Saturday Night Live echoed the thoughts of many. He talked about his father, a NYC firefighter who perished in the 9/11 terrorist strike on the World Trade Center. Pete said he saw many pictures of Israeli and Palestinian children suffering. He spoke of these images,

“No one in this world deserves to suffer, especially not kids.”

The comedian explained to his audience that comedy saved him and helped him deal with his dad’s tragic death. The monologue was a touching tribute to those who have been affected by the war or lost someone they love to something as unspeakable as terrorism.

Many celebrities have been criticized for not speaking on the tragedy of the war in Israel, including Taylor Swift, who was criticized for having her big concert film Era’s Tour premiere amid what has been going on in Israel and not using her platform to speak on it.

At the same time, other celebrities, like Pink, have been criticized or accused of commenting on it or taking sides. Pink explained,

“I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not. I am deeply saddened by the state of the world. I pray for all of us.”
