First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) did a pretty good job of convincing a guard he needed help. And we do think he did well ourselves. However, Orpheus appears to disagree with our assessment. He’ll be suspicious of this medical emergency. He has good reason to, as John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) have managed to sneak in dressed like doctors. They’ll be ready to do their part in this plan, but we think they might have underestimated Orpheus. And that won’t be the only problem. More on that in a minute.

Elsewhere, it’s no secret the Devil has fixated on Marlena. Especially now that she’s beaten him twice. But the third time might not be the charm, as she has to make a deal to save Kayla Brady (Marlena Evans) and Kate DiMera’s (Lauren Koslow) souls. And we’re guessing that was the real motivation behind tricking them into signing those contracts. While we were impressed with Lindsay Arnold’s (Allie Horton) possession performance, over all this story is wearing thin and we hope this will be the end of it. We wonder if that angel that appeared in Salem will be part of this, because we don’t see a lot of other options for Marlena going forward without some serious divine intervention.

Finally, Kate was surprised to learn that Kayla managed to get through to Steve and hadn’t told them. Now that the truth is out (and measures were put in place to stop it from happening again), Kate will try anyway. Knowing what Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) is getting himself into will definitely give her a lot of motivation to communicate with him. We just wonder if she’ll actually get the job done.
It seems a bit late to stop things, even if she managed to get through the firewall put in place. Two of the three men in this plot have already gotten the ball rolling. Plus, even if Roman managed to get them to answer a phone, they’ve been so determined, they might not want to listen.
