First, La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal Senator Kozar was on the verge of victory. She had testimony that would end Epifanio Vargas’ (Humberto Zurita) presidency and land him in jail. But, #TeamTeresa came through with the evidence, which Epifanio was more than happy to share with Kozar.
We hate Epifanio and want to see him get what’s coming to him, but we have to admit the panic in Kozar’s eyes was fun. She deserves to suffer a bit as well for all the things she’s done and all the shady things that proof reveals about her, the DEA, and others.

As for Epifanio, he basically proved what a rat he is. He showed up to collect the evidence and pay off the team, but it seems he had a surprise for them. He had a bomb placed that exploded after he left, trapping Teresa and the rest. We knew he couldn’t be trusted, as he is also sending men to attack Faustino Sánchez Godoy (Lincoln Palomeque) and the others.
But he might have been played. After he left Teresa showed off something Oleg Yosikov (Antonio Gil) and the others. We’re pretty sure she didn’t trust him and kept at least some of it for herself as insurance. We’ll see.

As for what’s ahead, La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal Epifanio will return from Ecuador, proud of the job he’s done. And now that he believes he has the evidence he needs in hand, he thinks he’s all-powerful. As we mentioned above, we wouldn’t be so sure of that. After what he’s done, we’re sure there’s some comeuppance heading his way.
As for the other half of #TeamTeresa, they’ll be in for a rough night. With Epifanio’s men attacking, it’ll be a hard fight to escape what Epifanio had planned. But we’re sure if anyone can get out of a mess like this, it’ll be them. Look at what Sofia Dantes (Isabella Sierra) accomplished last time?
And let’s not underestimate Faustino, either. He’s made it this far in the business he was in for a reason. The only weak link we see in the operation is Mateo Mena (Anderley Palomino), who isn’t used to this sort of thing.
