‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that in a preview for this week, we will be seeing the inevitable return of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as a couple, though before we go off the rails, some rumors suggest that this is just a dream similar to Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) thinking about Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
In the preview, Diane tells Jack that she does not want this daydream to end, alluding to the idea that this is all in her head and has nothing to do with the fabric of reality, which makes sense, because this doesn’t seem like something that would happen and if it did, Genoa City might just implode.

Viewers reacted to the preview saying, “If this is real, then this happened fast even for a SOAP. Now what will Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley do? Watch out Diane! You might not even be able to survive this.”, “The last time this happened Chelsea was dreaming of Rey. I’ll believe it when I see it.”, “WOW please don’t do this to us Y&R we deserve better!”, “Diane has to be imagining this”, and “If he gets with her & she hurts him again it is what he deserves after the way he treated Phyllis .”
While I am willing to bet all my money that this is a dream, let’s just pretend that this is real… Can we blame Jack? Sure, he’s been resistant to the idea that Diane has really changed, but he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt for the sake of his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Couldn’t there be a chance that this is the real Diane and she has changed who she was?
