Could this be the beginning of the end for Meghan Markle? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder as they believe the Duchess of Sussex’s lies are being exposed as she also risks her public reputation in her latest court battle.
This comes after a text message that the Duchess had sent to her former aide Jason Knauf exposed the true reason behind the letter that she wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, Sr., in 2018. Here’s what you need to know.
Meghan Markle’s Lies Are Exposed – Duchess Of Sussex Risks Reputation In Latest Court Battle
In his court statement, Jason Knauf said he received a text message from Meghan Markle explaining why she sent the letter that her father later on gave to a news outlet for publication.
In the message to her former communications secretary, Jason Knauf, the Duchess of Sussex says the letter she had drafted to her father Thomas Markle, 77, had been written “with the understanding that it could be leaked.”
If that weren’t enough, Meghan also asks for advice for anything that stands out “as a liability.” The message also goes into detail about how Meghan intends to send her letter and her motivation for doing so.
Meghan Markle sued the publisher of the Mail on Sunday and the MailOnline website for breach of privacy and copyright. A High Court judge ruled in her favor in February, saying publication of the letter Meghan wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, was “manifestly excessive and hence unlawful.”
Publisher Associated Newspapers is trying to overturn that decision at the Court of Appeal. The publisher argues that Meghan wrote the letter knowing it might be published, and made private information public by cooperating with Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of “Finding Freedom.”
