‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers find that in a heart wrenching episode last week, Olivia Plath decided it was time to take some space from husband of three years, Ethan Plath.
The two 23 year olds haven’t being seeing eye to eye about many things lately, mainly the fact that Olivia wants to move away from their small town of Cairo, Georgia and to Tallahassee, Florida. Ethan doesn’t want to go.
There hasn’t been a lot of compromise between the two in regards to their living situation- the small homes or apartments Olivia has been looking at simply won’t accommodate space for Ethan to tinker on his cars, his favorite hobby, and Ethan has begun digging his heels in, refusing to try anything new anymore. He’s also accused Olivia of changing too much.
At the end of last week’s episode, Olivia, fresh off an appointment with her therapist decided she needed to take a break from the marriage in order for both of them to be happy again. And let’s face it, neither have been happy for quite some time
Throughout the episode, Twitter users quickly took sides, some firmly on #TeamEthan, believing he has sacrificed so much for Olivia- i.e., his whole family, and Olivia simply continues to take
Others on #TeamEthan accuse Olivia of controlling her husband in the exact same way his parents, Kim and Barry used to.
Others took a completely different stance. Those on #TeamOlivia agreed that Ethan was too resistant to change, a fault that likely came from his upbringing,
They also accuse Ethan of being too immature to be in a marriage.
However, no matter what side viewers are on, most can agree they just want to see Ethan and Olivia happy
Hopefully their happiness will include them being together.
