‘The Bachelor’: Chris Harrison Sends a Loving Message to His Fans

The Bachelor’ former host, Chris Harrison appears to be missed by many of his fans. Now, after a social media hiatus, the man who gave out the roses for over two decades is giving out the love on line.

As we all know, Harrison’s decision to “take a step back” from the franchise post the Rachael Kirkconnell controversy turned into a permanent farewell from the reality show which made him a household name.

In Harrison’s absence, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe have stepped up to the plate, acting as co-hosts for Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette.

Though Adams and Bristowe have received several positive reviews from fans and crew, there are still many in Bachelor Nation who miss Harrison and aren’t afraid to let it be known.

After receiving an undisclosed eight-figure payout, ABC assured Harrison’s silence on the behind the scenes tea, however, his non-disclosure does not mean he can’t respond to his fans and now, after months of staying off Twitter—his last tweet was in February where he wrote an apology to Bachelor Nation after the Extra interview with Rachel Lindsay —Harrison is responding.

On Wednesday, Harrison responded to a tweet that asked, “You think @chrisbharrison misses us as much as we miss him?” Harrison responded, “I truly do!

A Canadian user said, “I miss @chrisbharrison. The shows just aren’t the same” and was delighted to see the former host reply, thanking all the loyal Canadian fans.

After another Twitter user said they also miss and love the former host, he replied, “Love all of you too. Always have, always will!

The comments sections of Chris’ retweets and replies quickly filled up with Bachelor fans expressing their thoughts on the current Bachelorette season which they say looks very different without Harrison’s three minutes of screen time per episode. Others say they don’t know what this current season is like as they refuse to watch at all.

A general consensus among many fans of the 49-year-old, whose bio on Twitter still reads: “Host of the Bachelor franchise and pretty much all things involving crying, roses & relationships!”, is that he was an ABC pawn, used as the fall guy in the Rachael Kirkconnell racism controversy, especially now that she and Matt James are back together.

It isn’t only fans who are split by Harrison’s departure. Many alums including ex-Bachelor Sean Lowe have chosen to step back from the franchise since Harrison was ousted while others like popular Bachelorette contestant, Ivan Hall applaud that the franchise is shaking things up as it moves forward.

What do you think of the change of host? Has it affected your viewing pleasure? Have you barely noticed? Perhaps you like the change? Maybe you no longer watching the show?
