‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that co-stars Clifton and Diamont appear to have a lot less complicated relationship than their characters- father and son duo of Bill and Liam…thank goodness!
This past weekend, on Father’s Day, Clifton found himself pondering his relationship with his co-star, and decided to tell Instagram all about it!
“Today, some people are celebrating their biological dads; others, their stepdads, surrogate dads, adoptive dads, godfathers, mentors, religious figures and so on. I think it’s rare to have someone come into your life, long after you’ve reached adulthood, and become a father figure instantly,” the soap star wrote.

For 36 year old Clifton, that someone is Diamont, who “is my friend, colleague, confidant — but he’s also my dad, even when the cameras stop rolling.”
Clifton went to explain how Diamont supports his younger co-star with advice, protection, and even a little tough-love. Diamont is no stranger to getting on Clifton’s back for a variety of reasons- if Clifton misses a doctor’s appointment or doesn’t act with the highest of integrity. “If I bulls**t him, he knows it,” he went on.
Diamont also makes a concerted effort to cheer his TV son on, according to Clifton who continued by writing. “He’s my dad. And it’s not because I’m special, it’s because he is.”
Clifton was also quick to say his love for the 58 year old soap vet does not take away the love he feels for his biological father, Ron. “I had a wonderful father growing up,” he added, saying that Ron was who Clifton emulated growing up and is proud to be morphing into now that he is a man.
“Most people don’t have just one father, and I hope that you, whoever you are, take today to reflect on all your dads — all the men in your life who made you who you are or have kept you who you want to be.”
Clifton finished the sweet sonnet to Diamont by saying, “It may not always take a village, but sometimes we’re lucky enough to get one.”
