‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: The Bromance Is real for Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester) and Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer)

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that stars may be at each other’s throats on screen, but when the director calls “cut”, Matthew and Scott are the best of buds. Even if they disagree about how and when they actually met.

Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, the two soap stars gave varying accounts of their first interaction with Scott saying it happened as an emotional scene was being filmed yet Matthew gave details about a looooong conversation the two had at a CBS Emmy party.

Matthew even recalled referring to Scott as “the Chris Pratt guy”, saying he resembles the Hollywood star. Admittedly, Matthew says it was years ago the two met at the party and the two were “a little bit toasted out of our brains,”

Scott’s wife, Nicole Lampson, however was on Matthew’s side and agreed the Emmy party was the friends and co-star’s first interaction.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: One point for Matthew.

While he may not remember a wild party, Scott remembers being impressed with Matthew’s acting skills on day one of him joining the cast. Matthew’s introduction to B&B was announcing the death of Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) to her family.

“You had to cry in front of 12 strangers. I remember it was really impressive,” Scott complimented his buddy. “I remember coming away from that thinking, “Oh, he’s good.”

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Okay- a point for Scott for that one.

When Soap Opera Digest asked the two actors if they ever believed their characters would be friends one day, Scott referred to the relationship between brothers Wyatt and Liam. “For, like, three years they were mortal enemies and now they are each other’s ride-or-die relationship. So yeah, I think that’s completely possible.”

Matthew, however, doesn’t necessarily want things to change. “I love hating Liam so I don’t want that to end,” he claimed. “It’s so much fun.”

Scott then retorted, “It’s because you’re lazy, Matthew. It’s easy to hate Liam.”

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: It seems these two have a lot of fun on set, sometimes too much fun.

Matthew admitted there are times, mid-scene, when the actors will remember something funny one had said earlier and completely break character. Scott claimed the hardest time to not laugh are the tags at the end of the scenes.

“We say these intense things to each other and then we have to maintain eye contact for seconds and seconds, which seems like an eternity, and that’s when we usually break character,” he laughed.

“This is not our first rodeo, we’ve been doing this long enough to know how many seconds they need. Usually in those intense scenes we will start laughing or blow each other a kiss or something uncomfortable like that.”

“Stop giving away our intimacies!” Matthew cried!

It’s not just on set these two have fun. After learning they both have the same “snooty elitism” when it comes to camping, the two love-to-rough-it guys have been camping together several times- with varying degrees of success when it comes to battling mother nature.

Their next adventure together?

Scott suggested, “I’m thinking Disneyland, Matthew. What about you?”

We can go to Disneyland,” Matthew agreed.
