Former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice says that meeting Teresa Giudice’s new boyfriend Luis Ruelas was super awkward, even though some Instagram photos show everyone having a great time together during a dinner date in the Bahamas recently. Teresa and Joe’s daughter Milania was the first to post a photo of the happy gathering on Instagram but according to Joe, things were a little uncomfortable between him and Luis.
After all, this was the first time Joe met his ex-wife’s new boyfriend after the two finalized their own divorce back in September after 20 years of marriage.

Joe told Us Weekly in a new interview, “You can all imagine how I felt when they walked in the room. It was awkward to see my ex after a lifetime together with someone else.”
The outing seemed to be drama-fee as even Joe reposted his daughter’s video to his own Instagram story and captioned it with “great night out.”
But now Joe is saying that there might have been some awkward moments of silence. But with that said, Joe made it pretty clear that he’s happy to see Teresa happy now that the two of them have moved on.
“Teresa and I decided to be honest and remain friends with one another for the girls,” Joe told the outlet. “Parenting should always be about giving your children the best outcomes for every situation. I believe we deserve to all be happy and our children will thank us for it.”
He added, “I am genuinely happy for both Teresa and Luis and wish them the best!“
