If there’s one person who knows how she feels and what she’s going through right now, it’s definitely Piers Morgan. The controversial British personality defended his good friend Sharon Osbourne after she was forced to leave The Talk for ironically enough, defending him. Here’s what you need to know.
It was announced on Friday that Sharon would be keeping quiet as she wouldn’t have a chance to ‘talk’ on daytime television anymore.
It all began when Sharon reportedly went too far in her emotional debate with Sherryl Underwood earlier this month, according to some critics.
Piers Morgan Defends Sharon Osbourne After She Leave The Talk
Things got so bad that Sharon was forced to apologize for defending her friend Piers Morgan – despite his attacks against Meghan Markle – and even led the producers to put the show on hiatus.
In a lengthy piece for the Mail on Sunday, Piers is now defending Sharon and slammed Meghan Markle, for apparently exploiting “woke world view” and “cancel culture” in her interview with Meghan Markle.
Piers wrote, “What’s happened to Sharon and me in the past fortnight isn’t really about Ms. Markle. It’s about a far bigger issue than one delusional Duchess, and that’s everyone’s right to be free to express our honestly held opinions, forcefully and passionately if we feel like it.”
During her heated debate with Sherryl, Sharon said, “I feel like I’m about to be put in an electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist,”
She then pushed her co-hosts to tell her “what he’s uttered that’s racist.”
Piers Morgan also tweeted about the controversy while posting a photo of him with Sharon Osbourne.
He wrote, “What’s happened to @MrsSOsbourne is an absolute disgrace that shames CBS. Bullied out of her job for defending me against an invented slur of racism because I don’t believe a liar. In tomorrow’s Mail on Sunday, I’ll tell MY truth about this woke cancel culture bulls*t.”
