Jinger Duggar has opened up on the ordeal she went through, when her brother Josh Duggar was accused of molestation.

Josh’s world turned upside down after numerous women came forward to allege that he had sexually assaulted them during his teenage years. While he did admit to cheating on his wife, this period was much more difficult. In an interview with Us Weekly, Jinger spoke on how the scandal divided her close ones.
She said: “It’s in those times where it’s not popular to be your friend, seeing how they responded really showed us the love of Christ through them and through their friendships. I think that was something that stood out to me. Josh, for his part, did apologise immediately after the revelations came to light. But that did not stop the criticism coming his way.
Fans had lashed out for what they perceived to be a case of hypocrisy. Given that Christianity plays such a big part in his life, this disclosure made it harder for people to get to grips with. In a statement at the time, he said: “The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.
“I deeply regret all [the] hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness.” His relationship did not falter, however. He had his family around him, who were ever so supportive. This added faith made the family become even more united.
She continued: “Our family was way closer because of that and in spite of that. I guess you’d say, I will never forget how I felt in that moment… but you have to give an answer to the world.” And things seem to be on the way up. There are rumours that Josh is going to be a father as his wife Anna Duggar may be pregnant. While an official announcement has not been made yet, it is only a matter of time as the reports continue to circulate.
