British Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Could Have Pulled The Plug On Their Tell-All Interview On CBS

The condition that had to be met, though, was if Prince Philip had tragically died. That was according to the journalist, Gayle King. In an interview on CBS, she revealed how the couple had everything prepared. She said: “If something, God forbid, had happened to him, the interview would not have run at this particular time.

“But the interview was done and was scheduled before he went into the hospital. But a lot of people have raised that point.” This latest revelation would run counter to the narrative that Harry and Meghan had intended to destroy the Royal family, which had previously been claimed. Piers Morgan had been an ardent critic of the couple and even walked away from his job to defend such a position.

With clearly no other alternative left, Harry and Meghan felt it was the right thing to do. Gayle added: “I think that Harry and Meghan both have been through so much for the past three years, and they really have tried to work it out privately. They really have tried to get help, and nothing was working.” Prince Philip, for his part, has been doing a lot better of late. He had been released from hospital after having successful surgery.

That brought an end to the nightmare, which saw him in care for around a month. Although there is still a long way to go in terms of recovery, it does prove that Harry and Meghan got their timing right. In a statement released on behalf of Prince Philip, the Royals thanked all those involved in his care: “The Duke of Edinburgh has today been discharged from King Edward VII’s Hospital.

“[He] has returned to Windsor Castle, following treatment for an infection and a successful procedure for a preexisting condition. His Royal Highness wishes to thank all the medical staff who looked after him.” This clearly shows that Harry and Meghan had thought out their plans very carefully. Whether they get any applaud is anyone’s guess.
