British Royal Family News find that Princess Eugenie has a lot of reasons to be happy these days, but perhaps her biggest reason is of course, her son, August. Prince William and Prince Harry’s cousin took to her Instagram account to share a new photo of her son August to celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK. Here’s what you need to know.
Sharing a photo of August along with a throwback photo of Eugenie with her mother Sarah Ferguson, she captioned her post with, “I’m so excited to be August’s mum and as you can see I’m enjoying my first Mother’s Day. I’m also celebrating my beautiful Mumma with this picture of us from March 1990. You’ve taught me so much. Happy Mother’s Day to all.”
For Princess Eugenie, she is doing anything but paying attention to all of the royal drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired last weekend. Instead, she’s focusing on her new life as a mother to August and of course, her and Jack’s new family of three.

And while a lot of people are gushing over how cute the baby is, they also love the fact that Eugenie included a loving nod to her beloved grandfather, Prince Philip, who has spent several weeks in the hospital now.
Eugenie wrote on Instagram last month, “On his grandfather’s birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy. He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers. August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.”
August’s other name comes from Jack’s side of the family, his 5x grandfather, Rev. Edward Hawke Brooksbank. While it’s possible that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have met their grandson, no indication has been made that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philp have met the baby, yet.
