Elon Musk went on Joe Rogan’s podcast again today and spoke more about SpaceX and what his thoughts are on aliens and how Earth could begin colonizing other planets in the solar system and how they could essentially jump to other solar systems.
In the following clip, we hear Musk speaking about colonizing Mars. When asked about the timeframe, Musk paused for a moment before saying the real question is “if we have enough resources on Mars, that if the spaceships From Earth stop coming”, would they be able to survive.

The next part of the clip is hearing Musk’s thoughts on aliens and it may surprise you. While he wants aliens to be real, he’s not exactly convinced that they’re out there. If they are, they’re being very subtle. Elon believes that if they had been here, there’s be some kind of proof or evidence that they were here, and he’s not seen that yet.
Musk went on to explain that all it would take to convince him is titanium or some form of advanced metallurgy. While a computer or something from thousands of years ago would be a dead giveaway, he explains it doesn’t even have to be that obvious.
He goes on to say he thinks about aliens exactly zero amount of the time. Even while thinking about interplanetary travel, Musk doesn’t think he should waste his time thinking about aliens. If they were to exist, he’d be excited, but until we find something, he’ll continue doing what he’s doing.
To end the clip, they talk about the biggest issue with Earth being humans and apocalyptic events. I don’t know about you, but every time I hear Musk talk about why we need to get off of Earth I’m ready to go!
