‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers says that this pandemic has been very hard on the job market, especially on those in the entertainment industry. Hollywood and a lot of productions basically shut down due to social distancing and now even though sime productions are back up and running it is nothing like it was.
So color us delighted when Rebecca Budig of GH posted a selfie on her instagram with the caption “working”. She looked happy to be back too, it was clear to see that on her face and who wouldn’t be? Money is money in this economy!

However, we don’t exactly know what gig she’s landed because she didn’t elaborate. We do know that the background setting did not look anything like any of the sets on GH so its safe to assume for now that Hayden Barnes has not returned to Port Charles just yet.
(Although honestly, maybe she should because the last time we saw Finn he seemed to need someone there.) But that could be a red herring because a lot of her former daytime co-stars were commenting on the post congratulating her.
So, if she’s not back in Port Charles where could she be? There is always the possibility of her landing a primetime gig and that would definitely take her out of Port Charles and perhaps into another place and character entirely.
But just say for a moment that she did land another gig on daytime TV. Where would she end up? She could always end up on Y&R, or perhaps maybe she could come to B&B since Thomas Forrester is in need of some major mental help and is possibly in the market for a new therapist.
DOOL could recast her as… someone, I’m just not sure who right now. And she could always just come back to GH and be Hayden again which would make the most sense seeing as little Violet needs her.
The only one who seems to know her secret is Alicia Minshaw who played Kendall on AMC but she said in her comment on the post that her lips are sealed and she wouldn’t tell. I guess the only thing to do now is wait and see what else Rebecca announces. Stay tuned!!!
