‘General Hospital’ SHOCKER: Did Sonny Play an Inadvertent Part In Son Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) Shocking Death?

ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Maurice Benard/Laura Wright) week concluded Friday with one heck of a choice. It actually makes us think more about their relationship and the occupation Sonny chose. Let’s take a look at what happened and why it might be time for a change.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The situation

This episode might have been our favorite of the week. In it, we learned that Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) had just died in an explosion. The thing was, it was not an attack meant for him. As a result of some erratic behavior, and drinking, he’d gotten his hands on Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) car. A man that Sonny hates and wanted gone. That fact was not lost of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who had a huge struggle.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Flashback episode brings harsh truth

In a moving and powerful scene, we watched him practically tear apart a PCPD interrogation room as he raged about the situation. When Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) showed up and found him, he told her he might have to arrest his own father for the murder of his brother. It’s a horrible situation that we don’t envy at all. But we suppose that’s what happens when a father and son are on opposite sides of the law.

However, the best moments were with Carly. Watching her in total denial was rough, and it got even worse when Dante dropped off Morgan’s phone and she learned more details. When Sonny arrived, she turned her ire on him, demanding to know if he did, in fact, try to kill Julian. We noticed he didn’t argue her accusation he killed their son, although after reading some more it appears Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) was the guilty party. His lack of denial, though, shows he did intend something for Julian and might have thought it was carried out. That leads us to today.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Recent events

Things have been hard in Port Charles lately. Especially for the Corinthos family. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) nearly got sent away for her safety, but instead they all stayed on lockdown. It’s a stressful, dangerous situation, thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He’d not only shown up at the hotel, but he also had a bullet planted in Dev Cerci’s (Ashton Arbab) bag as a message. Sure, it’s not Sonny who started the war, but it shows the problematic nature of him and their relationship.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Our take

After more reading, we see how Sonny and Carly survived Morgan’s death. However, the fact remains that it seemed clear in the episode he did intend something for Julian, and there was that chance he’d been responsible. Even the scare should’ve been enough to make Carly run. Both then and now, his life choices carry a certain amount of danger and it never goes away. Carly might need to take a step back and reevaluate her own choices sooner or later. By willingly being with Sonny despite his job, she’s essentially neglecting her job as a mother. That family will never be safe as long as Sonny can’t give up the mob life. We personally think her love for him in these circumstances is unhealthy and selfish.
